2024 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide
SJM is delighted to announce that its three signature restaurants at Grand Lisboa Hotel have again earned an extraordinary six Diamonds from the 2024 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide. Robuchon au Dôme continues its uninterrupted six-year record of 3 Diamonds, while The 8 has earned its third consecutive 2 Diamond rating, and The Kitchen continued its seventh consecutive 1 Diamond rank. Hong Kong’s L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon operated by mother company Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau, S.A. (“STDM”) also received two diamonds while Guincho a Galera at Lisboa Hotel in Macau garnered its first diamond. These recognitions pay testament to SJM and STDM’s dedication to excellent service and exceptional gastronomy.
Since 2018, the prestigious Black Pearl Restaurant Guide has ranked restaurants in major cities across China and five overseas cities such as New York, Paris and Tokyo, according to the Chinese palate. SJM is honoured to be recognised by the guide for our ongoing commitment to upholding culinary excellence in Macau, and our mission to support the promotion of "tourism + gastronomy" and strengthen Macau's unique position as a UNESCO-designated Creative City of Gastronomy.

Inside a glamorous setting full of blessings for good fortune and longevity, The 8 serves up exquisite, award-winning Chinese cuisine. Helmed by Executive Chef Albert Au, this homegrown Macau restaurant has received two Diamonds for three consecutive years.
Under the auspices of Head Chef Simon Li, The Kitchen prepares premium steaks and a wide array of live seafood from the onsite tanks. The 2024 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide marks the modern steakhouse's seventh consecutive one-Diamond rating.
