Experience the football thrills sweeping through Macau with SJM Resorts
SJM brings a whirlwind of football fervour to Macau this May in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Macau SAR!
On 19 May 2024, the "SJM Five-a-side Football Friendly: Portugal Icons vs. GBA Flying Dragon" will unfold at the Macao East Asian Games Dome. This friendly match takes place on a smaller pitch, with five players on each side. Each half lasts just 20 minutes, and no time will be added for stoppages or overtime. Both teams must interact, react and play at their best, with perfect teamwork and peak coordination being key to their ultimate victory.
Watch legendary Portuguese football players up close, featuring iconic players such as Luís Figo, Tiago, Bosingwa, Maniche, Nuno Gomes, Pauleta, and Hélder Postiga - heroes who have left their mark on the world stage.
Facing them, the GBA Flying Dragon team comprises former local football athletes and celebrities including Natalis Chan, Eddie Ng, Frankie Lam, Eddie Cheung, and Danny Chan.
Catch the excitement outside of the pitch too! Join the fun in a football-themed carnival at the outdoor plaza of Ponte 16 Resort, collect autographs at fan meetings, and spot the team as they tour the city in an open-top bus.
